May10Y3 Trip to Celtic Harmony
Our history topic is the Stone Age to the Iron Age and we are planning an all-day trip to Celtic Harmony. The children will have the unique opportunity to become Neolithic by wearing Neolithic clothing, visiting a Stone Age encampment and taking part in different activities which will teach them about life in Prehistoric times. We will need 2 or 3 parent helpers for this trip so please let me know if you would like to come with us.
The coach will be leaving school at approximately 9am and we plan to be back by 3.15pm. Children will require a snack and packed lunch. If your child normally has school lunches, a packed lunch and drink will be provided. Celtic Harmony try to keep waste to a minimum and therefore request that the children and adults try to bring a waste-free packed lunch, e.g. containers that they can bring back home with them, no plastic bags, etc.
All children should wear:
- Warm, play clothes
- Wellingtons or sturdy boots and a waterproof (hat and sun cream if necessary)
- A change of shoes to wear on the return journey
- Children are also encouraged to dress in Stone Age style if possible (The children will bring home a sheet of ideas for an easy costume)
A voluntary contribution of £32.00 is requested to cover the cost of this trip. Although no child will be prevented from participating through non-payment, if the full cost of the trip is not received we may not be able to go ahead with the visit. Payment and consent should be made via the school Gateway by Friday 3rd May 2019.
