PTA – ALSA
Welcome to ALSA, which stands for Aboyne Lodge School Association our school’s PTA association. Simply by being a parent or caregiver of a child registered at Aboyne Lodge School you are already a member of ALSA.
ALSA is a very active School Association and provides much needed funds to enhance facilities at the school for the benefit of the children.
Over the years, ALSA has provided an incredible array of essential equipment and resources. Our most recent fundraising has seen us purchase new computers, cameras and math tools for each class.
ALSA also contributes to various workshops organised at the school which all children can enjoy. In 2017/8, the school children participated in Arts Weeks as well as saw an Easter and Christmas pantomime.
However, ALSA is about more than raising money, it is also about running social events for both parents and children to build on the already strong parent/school partnership that exists at Aboyne Lodge. We run a Christmas and Summer Fair each year – both very successful events – and then a variety of other activities such as quizzes, children’s discos, Bike Day and other one-off events.
There are a number of ways in which you can support ALSA. One, of course, is attending the events we run with your children. However, all these events require effort and we are always looking for support from parents in helping set up events and running them. New event ideas are always welcome! You may even want to help by joining our Committee and we always like to welcome new parents if they want to volunteer.
So, if you can help, please do! It is not all hard work, getting involved with ALSA is also great fun and is of great benefit to your child’s schooling. If you would like to know more about what we do, please feel free contact us at and we will be happy to tell you more about us.
