OUR ETHOS & VISION
CREATIVE
CURIOUS
CARING
Being creative allows our pupils to solve problems openly and innovatively. By having the opportunity to use their creative side, our children become more absorbed in their learning and more driven to achieve their goals.
We encourage our pupils to embrace their curiosity. Curious people always ask questions and search for the answers. Curiosity is key to learning - when we're curious about something, we are much more likely to remember what we have learned.
Caring is about kindness, concern for others and taking responsibility. Our caring ethos means that our children get the best possible start to their education - they are respectful, hard working and look after each other.
The Aims of Aboyne Lodge Primary School
At Aboyne Lodge, we believe in a calm and inclusive learning environment where community is at the heart of everything we do. We are dedicated to fostering creativity, curiosity, and compassion in every pupil, through a wide range of different experiences, empowering them to become knowledgeable, thoughtful, responsible citizens of the world.
We uphold the highest standards in behaviour, academic outcomes and pastoral support through staff collaboration, respectful communication, modelled practice and positive relationships with our pupils and the community as a whole.
Our school embraces the principles of sustainability, encouraging our pupils to connect with and care for the environment. Through innovative, hands-on learning experiences, we inspire a sense of wonder and inquiry, enabling pupils to explore their interests and develop critical thinking skills.
We believe in the power of collaboration, working closely with families, local organisations, and the wider community to create a supportive network that enriches the educational experience. Together, we will cultivate a culture of respect, kindness, and environmental stewardship, ensuring that our pupils not only thrive academically but also grow into empathetic leaders who are committed to making a positive impact on their communities and the planet.
