Our EYFS curriculum is ambitious and carefully sequenced to help our children to build their learning over time. It is often driven by the interests and individual needs of the children.
Our planning is flexible as young children do not develop in a fixed way. Our curriculum provides opportunities for the children to learn through play, by adults modelling, by observing each other and through guided learning and direct teaching.
At Aboyne Lodge we communicate regularly with parents through our online app, Class Dojo. You will receive regular updates on your child’s progress through the App and can share information from home.
Principles of the EYFS
All children develop in different ways and development is not a linear or an automatic process. It depends on each unique child having opportunities to interact in positive relationships and enabling environments that encourage their engagement and recognise their strengths. At Aboyne Lodge our Early Year curriculum is underpinned by the four principles of the EYFS.
